If you love the beach, enjoy music/art, and appreciate the military-look no further and come care for veterans as a Primary Care Physician in our following locations: Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, or Hampton VA Medical Center! Our physicians will be based out of the outpatient clinic, as we provide the best whole-health care for veterans in an outpatient setting! The panel size for our Primary Care Physicians is typically 1200 patients, with a daily patient load of 13-totaling 30-hours a week dedicated to face-to-face care.
The following duties are required of the position; they include, but are not limited to:
Provides a full range of services, including assessment and using the most appropriate techniques in providing quality care in their subspecialty.
Perform appropriate evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
Provide a full range of therapeutic interventions in units/programs in the Hampton VA Medical Center to which they are assigned and have clinical privileges to practice, including diagnostic assessment, medication evaluation and management.
Participates effectively in team meetings and treatment planning conferences and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members in a manner that enhances coordination of comprehensive patient care.
Orders diagnostic tests and discriminates between normal and abnormal findings and makes appropriate treatment decisions.
Ensures that the practice of medicine is consistent with the Joint Commission, Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (GARF), VA policies and procedures, clinical· practice guidelines, VISN standards, national statute regulations, medical record documentation, mandatory continuing education, and HIPAA policies

This position is eligible for our Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) which allows for up to $200K in loan repayment over a 5-year period.
