MaineHealth Pediatric Specialty Care is looking for a full-time Neuropsychologist Supervisor. The new hire would perform neuropsychological assessments and evaluations, specialized psychological interventions for individuals with documented neuropsychological related disorders and/or conditions affecting CNS functioning and participate actively in the educational mission of the hospital, which may include supervision, teaching, and consultation with psychology trainees, psychiatry residents, medical students, and other trainees. The neuropsychologist also provides supervision of licensed psychologists in the MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland Department of Pediatrics for 20 percent of scheduled hours.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Doctoral degree in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology or related field from an APA/CPA accredited university. Two years post-doctoral training in Neuropsychology is required, with a pediatric emphasis.
License/Certifications: Licensed or license-eligible as a Psychologist by the State of Maine. Board-certified in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) or training consistent with the ability to become board certified. Pediatric subspecialty board certification is desirable.
Experience: Prior experience evaluating pediatric patients with a range of neurodevelopmental and medical conditions with additional training and experience neurodevelopmental diagnostic assessment instruments including the ADOS-2. A minimum of two years of independent clinical experience following post-doctoral training providing pediatric neuropsychological services. Supervisory experience is desirable.
Necessary personal, professional, and interpersonal skills required to conduct neuropsychological evaluations and interventions with patients and their families as well as to work effectively as a member of the health care team.
