Baptist Health Sciences University's brand new School of Osteopathic Medicine seeks its inaugural Assistant Dean of Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP) to oversee the clinical, educational, and research missions of the Department of OPP. The successful candidate will get in on the ground floor and place their professional stamp on the Department, promoting the organization's vision throughout the community of Memphis and the state of Tennessee.
About BUCOM The College of Osteopathic Medicine is part of the Baptist Memorial Health Care (BMHC) system, one of the region's largest healthcare systems and the largest provider of Medicaid. Oversee all operations of the Department of Osteopathic Principles and Practice
NMM outpatient clinic will be operational from day one with the construction of a new facility within the year (we need your expertise in development)
All new facilities - remarkable OPP lab, SYM lab, Anatomy lab, and other high-tech facilities
Candidate Requirements:
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with Board Certification from the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (AOBNMM) or a Certificate of Special Proficiency in OMM (C-SPOMM)
7 years of full-time faculty experience in medical education
7 years of progressive and significant educational leadership in an educational program(s) or related area of practice
Proficiency in applying advanced concepts, principles, and techniques of learning theories, educational practices, and procedures
Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, promote, and evaluate academic/educational programs, faculty, and staff
Strong leadership skills to set the vision and strategic direction of the program
Unrestricted Tennessee medical license
