You Will Be Responsible For:
Utilizes modalities/procedures with knowledge of contraindications related to age and diagnosis.
Communicates truthfully and considerately.
Demonstrates competency in particular professional discipline, including independent and effective evaluation and treatment skills, operation, application and care/maintenance of equipment, and ability to assess patient needs and develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care.
Utilizes computer access confidentially, appropriately and following HIPAA guidelines.
Incorporates patient, physician, customer needs and concerns into decision-making and organizational action.
Demonstrates flexibility in scheduling patients with other responsibilities, establishing appropriate priorities.
Participates on health system committees as appropriate.
Assumes Director’s role when he/she is absent.
Contributes to program development and enhancement in area of accountability.
Completes all documentation in accordance with department practice, policy, and procedure.
Completes follow-up assessments on patients every week.
Provides complete patient care from initial evaluation through discharge with instruction for post discharge care in accordance with department practice, policies, and procedures.
Performs evaluations as appropriate to diagnosis.
Interprets findings to patient, family, and physician.
Responsible to educate patients and/or their families in self-care, prevention, body mechanics, life style adaptation, posture, and ergonomics as appropriate.
Develops and implements treatment using appropriate techniques within physician’s prescription, obtaining approval for charges.
Completes evaluation/progress/discharge notes in a timely fashion and within departmental guidelines.
Sends timely consult and progress letters to the referring physician.
Reviews and revises treatment programs as indicated.
What You Will Need:
Current Georgia License in applicable degree (RN, PT, OT, SLP)
BLS within one month of hire
Minimum of 3years rehabilitation or medical/surgical experience
Responsible for evaluating the patient's potential to benefit from Comprehensive Inpatient Rehabilitation services prior to a patient's admission to that service. Required to confer with the Program Director, Medical Director, and/or the Nurse Manager to determine the most appropriate setting for the continuance of care. May require travel
