This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Clinical Responsibilities: Provides a full range of psychological assessment services and diagnoses mental disorders, particularly for complex or unusually difficult patients. Provides education to patients, family members, and significant others. Provides comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Provides consultation to professional staff within Mental Health Service and the VA generally and to community providers, concerning clinical assessment findings and appropriate treatment plans for patients. Develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for patients evaluated, as appropriate. Functions independently as a member of the Mental Health Service, with full clinical privileges. Assumes complete professional responsibility for his/her clinical assessment findings, patient care decisions, and documentation. Provides a full-range of neuropsychological evaluation services. Provide cognitive remediation/rehabilitation services. Coordinates evaluations of inpatients/outpatients. Manages the acquisition and maintenance of test materials. Administrative Responsibilities: Facilitates liaisons with other health care programs in order to effectively coordinate services. Complies with national and local performance measures. Complies with all CPRS documentation procedures. Attends and participates in administrative and informational meetings with the Mental Health Service.
