The Director of MS Research will lead a research program that encompasses the entire continuum of MS services and is integrated with the clinical program. This person will collaborate with clinical staff at Shepherd Center to determine key studies that could positively impact outcomes and create best practices for clinicians and therapists working with MS clients. The Director of MS Research will be expected to develop relationships with local, regional and national research grant programs, foundations and other researchers in identifying a clinical research focus within the vision and goals of the Andrew C. Carlos MS Institute at Shepherd Center and the Eula C. & Andrew C. Carlos MS Rehabilitation and Wellness Program. The Director of MS Research is expected to develop a nationally recognized research program in MS. This person must be innovative, creative, and work well with a team. 

Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in the field of study relevant to clinical research in neurorehabilitation, with an emphasis in multiple sclerosis. Established record of independent research; experience in grant writing, manuscript writing for publications, and presentations at professional conferences; expertise in research design and applied statistics. Experience in clinical outcomes research is preferred.
