Veterans Justice Program (VJP) is a community-facing outreach program. The central goal of the VJP is to identify vulnerable Veterans through outreach in criminal justice settings, to engage them in treatment and rehabilitation programs or community support services that will assist to: (1) Prevent their homelessness; (2) Facilitate recovery and readjustment to community life; and (3) Desist from commission of new crimes or parole or probation violations.
Providing Health Care for Veterans: The Veterans Health Administration is America’s largest integrated health care system, providing care at 1,255 health care facilities, including 170 medical centers and 1,074 outpatient sites of care of varying complexity (VHA outpatient clinics), serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year.
