Plan and provide advanced and/or specialized nur sing care for patientsin accordance with guidelines established within t he Discipline ofNursing Clinical Ladder Program; participate in educatio nal activities,departmental committees,research projects orother healt h relatedprojects as assigned. Provide nursing services to patients and familiesin accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the North C arolinaBoard of Nursing. Work PerformedIdentify care needs for patient populations at the unit level. The CNIIIindependen tly and creatively implements the nursingprocess forindividual patients and identifies needs and plans care for unit patientpopulations. The CN III is positive during changes and supports growth ofpeers. The CNIII is able to effectively communicate with all members ofthe health care team . Minimum Qualifications EducationWork requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date. ExperienceRequires two years of appropriate clinical experience. In addition to the education and experience noted above, applicants must meet all requirements set forth by the Nursing Clinical Ladder Program for the level III. Degrees, Licensures, CertificationsMust have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
