POSITION SUMMARY: A Charge Nurse is a licensed professional responsible to ensure that the operations of the specific unit flow smoothly in accordance with the Mission, Vision, Core Values and Strategic Plan of the organization. As the first line of leadership, the Charge Nurse must have and maintain clinical competence, technical skill, human resource management, and demonstrate critical decision making.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Minimum: * 1 Year clinical experience in assigned unit.
Desired: * Bachelor's Degree in nursing related field. * Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: * Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing * Current CPR
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Demonstration of ongoing clinical and leadership competency as defined on the Charge Nurse Annual Competency Assessment Tool.
* Employee Engagement: Ensure appropriate staffing levels and compliance with employment requirements. Communicates and supports mission and vision of organizational initiatives. Mentoring and staff development, including providing recognition and acknowledgment of staff efforts as well as managing personnel challenges. Participates in and promotes engagement action plans.
