Orlando Health, a not-for-profit healthcare organization with $5.6 billion of assets under management serving Central Florida and beyond, seeks an outstanding leader as the president of the Orlando Health Cancer Program. The successful candidate will be an accomplished physician with a track record of clinical and administrative contributions in oncology, and the skills to inspire, manage and mentor a talented and diverse medical staff. The president will ensure that the strategic vision of creating patient-first, clinically integrated care based on a model driven by quality outcomes will be in the forefront of the operations of the cancer program. The president will act as the primary liaison between Orlando Health’s administration and the cancer program on matters relevant to developing and sustaining a strong collaborative relationship. The president also will represent the cancer program’s views and perspective to administrative leadership, as well as to elected medical staff leadership in all aspects of cancer care. Our cancer center currently employs 710 team members including 55 physicians and 27 APPs. Radiation oncologists, Medical oncologists and most surgical oncology subspecialists report directly to the cancer program’s president.
We seek a physician leader with the subspecialty as medical oncologist, surgical oncologist or radiation oncologist with a minimum of 8 years’ of administrative responsibilities in health care, preferably cancer-related. The successful MD/DO candidate will have proven ability and a record of leading an organization through change and expansion and have experience in building and/or growing regional clinical programs in a competitive healthcare market.

The Orlando Health system spans nine Florida counties with nearly 450 locations that include 13 wholly-owned or affiliated hospitals and emergency departments; rehabilitation services, cancer centers, heart institutes, imaging and laboratory services, wound care centers, more than 300 physician offices for adults and pediatrics, and 11 urgent care centers in partnership with CareSpot Urgent Care. In FY18, Orlando Health served approximately 167,000 inpatients, more than 2.7 million outpatients, and more than 20,000 international patients. Approximately 3,600 physicians have privileges across the Orlando Health system, including nearly 3,000 community physicians and the Orlando Health Medical Group, one of the largest physician groups in the region with seven divisions and more than 700 physicians who provide primary and specialty care for adults and children.
