The Division of Physical Medicine and Rehab at the Houston Methodist Research Institute welcomes applications for a faculty investigator in basic and translational Physical Medicine and Rehab, with a focus on outcomes research and clinical trials. The candidate will be expected to work in close collaboration with clinical and translational researchers.
Opportunities are available to develop partnerships with a growing research network focused on clinical trials in neuromodulation and cell therapy by researchers in the Houston Methodist Center for Neuroregeneration; and with a growing research network in the Houston Methodist Center for Outcomes Research.
In addition, candidates are expected to establish a vigorous externally funded research program and contribute to the intellectual vitality of the research institute scientific community. Formal teaching is not required, although there will be opportunities for those who wish to do so. Startup package will be competitive and commensurate with the specific needs of the investigator. Significant resources are available by application for internal pilot grants and large, early clinical trial funding through the Houston Methodist Research Institute. Faculty will also have the opportunity to affiliate with Weill Cornell Medical College.
