Position Summary: The department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking a Department Chair physician.
Responsibilities: Candidates must have a proven track record of leadership experience and academic accomplishments.
Responsibilities include the ability to provide strategic direction for the department, be responsible for recruitment and retention of staff, and ensure alignment and development of critical resources to achieve the goals of Mayo Clinic.
Successful candidates will apply their leadership skills to grow the division in alignment with institutional priorities; including our growing multidisciplinary sports, spine, and neurological rehabilitation programs.
Our current separately licensed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is continuously full and requires working closely with the neurosciences, transplant, and cardiovascular departments. A dynamic therapy department with multiple outpatient practice locations supports the highest level of professionalism in our clinicians and fosters a clinical environment that promotes excellence in clinical care. Many of the therapists have attained advanced degrees, attained highly recognized clinical specialization and academic appointment at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Sciences.
The new Mayo Medical School in Arizona allows for advanced academic and research opportunities.Additional teaching opportunities, and more advanced educational programs are ready for consideration.
A mid-career physician with a drive for excellence is desired.
