The Mammography Tech performs a variety of screening and diagnostic procedures according to established protocols and integrates technical skills, patient interaction, and care to obtain viable diagnostic information as ordered by the physician, Imaging Services Manager, or designate. Part time, evening shift.
High school diploma or GED
Completion of formal Radiologic Technologist training at an AMA-approved school
ARRT registration and CPR certification
Five years of experience in Mammography preferred
Professional and ethical judgment, along with critical thinking, in order to provide quality patient care and useful diagnostic information
Accuracy in positioning, exposure technique, and subsequent evaluation of imaging parameters
