As the Program’s Team Leader, Learning Services’ Program Director (PD) must have well established and proven leadership skills. The PD will be responsible for overseeing the creation and implementation of a competitive Operating Plan that brings together the sometimes divergent goals and objectives of the Program’s employees, Clients, Payers, Families, Clinical Team, external customers, and Senior Management Team.
The PD must be a skillful communicator with the ability to manage and motivate staff by example, and meet or exceed the challenges of a competitive P & L strategy as defined in the Program’s Operating Plan.
1)Staff Management – While directly overseeing clinical staffing and partnering with the local Operations Manager (who supervises direct care staff), the PD will create a systematic approach to the recruitment, training and retention of qualified individuals who understand their contribution to the Learning Services standard of customer service. Ensure that the Program is a safe, amiable, honest, competent, worthy and fun place to both work and live. In addition to overseeing the residential facility, the candidate will supervise all multi-site or off-site staff including clinical director and additional clinical staff.
2)Profitability – Collaboratively create and approve the Program’s Operating Plan including projections for revenue, expenses, and profitability. Lead the Program’s implementation of the Operating Plan. Provide analysis of factors related to impacting cost management and overall profitability; including the real-time management of the Program’s labor budget. Ensure financial goals are met by monitoring budget variances, expertly managing the provision of multi- or off-site Program services (Home & Community), and implementing corrective action plans as needed
3)Census Management – Coordinate and actively participate in the Program’s flexibility in responding to the needs of key referral sources while upholding the standards that are the “brand” of Learning Services. Directly engage in Sales & Marketing efforts, including executing pre-admission screenings, delivering educational and marketing presentations, conducting tours, and providing visibility for the Program as the local Learning Services’ brain injury expert. Interface with Business Development Liaison, Admissions Director, and CCO on review of referrals and prospective admissions.
4)Business Development – Work directly with CDO to develop expansion of current business line and development of new service offerings. Represent all business lines to the community, referral sources and funding sources through sales calls, provision of CEU presentations and being the identified local leader representing the program to the healthcare community. Participate in the development of start-up pro formas and perform all operational and leadership activities related to start-up operations including selection of key management and staff as needed, and assist in development of all marketing material and customer base.
5)Quality Management – Ensure that the Program has the ability to anticipate and meet the needs, demands and expectations of our Residents, External Stakeholders and employees on a personalized level leading to high levels of satisfaction with the Program’s services (including its customer service and hospitality standards). Ensure Home and Community, Day Treatment activities, and all other program activities are in compliance with regulatory requirements.

1.5-10 years of experience working in post-acute residential healthcare or rehabilitation services in a multi-state, small multi-venue environment.
2.Experience hiring and training/developing staff, with strong people supervision skills
3.Experience managing multiple service sites and/or business lines

5.Be able to travel as required to provide supervision of multi- or off-site programs and customer relationships.
