Henderson Hospital Henderson Hospital is a member of The Valley Health System, a network of six acute care hospitals that provide care for patients throughout Southern Nevada and nearby communities. Located in the suburb of Henderson, the 120-bed hospital, which opened in 2016, offers emergency care, surgical services, including an ambulatory surgery center, cardiovascular care, women's health and maternity services. A level II neonatal intensive care unit is slated to open by late 2017.
Responsible for the 24 hour management of the assigned unit assuring patient care meets the standard of care.
Essential Job Duties:
Maintains a minimum of 8 hours ortho total joint related education annually.
Performs responsibilities consistent with hospital safety policies.
Acts as a clinical leader in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures, quality assurance. Performance.
Integrates the services with the hospital's primary functions.
Assists and provides direction to nursing staff with clinical decision-making and priority setting.
Collaborates with Clinical Department Director and other clinical leaders to develop clinical programs to improve clinical quality, promote efficient use of resources, and ensure service excellence.
Plans, designs and implements educational activities in response to identified learning needs. Utilizes appropriate teaching/learning principles.
Participates, reports and improves policies and procedures..
Participates in chart audits and implements actions to ensure regulatory compliance.

Coordinates theOrtho Team for optimal patient care Pre-hospital, emergency care, hospital stay, rehabilitation, community care and home care or extended care facility.
Provide monthly statistics to performance improvement department.
Maintain good PR with staff, patients, patient's families, physicians, administration and other hospital departments and promote a positive public image of the department and hospital.
Overseas in cooperation with the Medical Director, the development, periodic review and update of written care protocols, policies and procedures that promote an organized and effective program.
Development, planning and implementation of clinical protocols and management guidelines.
Assures staff's compliance with policy and procedures.
Motivates and coaches staff to ensure maximum productivity/competence.
Collects and analyzes data.
Completes work with little or no supervision.
Makes suggestions/recommendations for improved operations to the department, facility.
