Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The APRN position provides psychiatric mental health medication management to clients with psychiatric disorders. Provides adult and child psychiatric/medication evaluations, prescription services and medication through routine medication clinic. Evaluates and charts psychotropic medication effectiveness, complications, and side effects, and orders necessary lab work.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provides psychiatric mental health medication management to clients with psychiatric disorder. Provides adult psychiatric/medication evacuations, prescription services and medication education through routine medication clinics. Evaluates and charts psychotropic medication effectiveness, complications, and side effects; orders necessary lab work Maintains productivity standards.
Ability to effectively provide leadership and consultation to a diverse group of professionals; ability to relate effectively with administration, clients, and family members ability to develop therapeutic alliances, make diagnoses and develop practical treatment approaches for and with clients who are experiencing symptoms of severe and persistent mental illness in adults as well as seriously emotionally disturbed children; ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
This position requires applicable licensure and prescriptive authority in the state of Montana. Prefer training or experience in community based psychiatric treatment of individuals diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness and children who are diagnosed as seriously emotionally disturbed. Current knowledge of psychotropic medications and best practices, and an understanding of crisis intervention and the use of services as alternatives to in-hospital care.
