The VP of Business Development is responsible for maintaining an ongoing strategic analysis of market demands to govern definition and development of Learning Services’ scope of services in existing markets, as well as growth into potential new markets as a participant in the development and execution of the company’s overall strategic plan. The VP of Business Development is responsible for forecasting company revenue budget and targets, ensuring market penetration in Learning Services’ regional markets, and for directing census/revenue development leading to overall profitability, growth, and favorable public image of all Learning Services’ Programs.
The VP of Business Development shall oversee the Company’s sales and marketing efforts to ensure that every Program successfully represents the company’s service lines and outcomes to our public, and maintains each Program’s census and revenue targets.
The incumbent will be responsible for supervising the Business Development Liaisons and the Director of Admissions.
The VP of Business Development will work collaboratively with corporate executives, Program and Clinical Management, and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategic marketing plans in each Program, while also ensuring that each Program’s scope of services, pricing, rates, and overall public image is consistent with market demands and company goals.
Business Development and Marketing:
1.Ensure effective collection and use of all marketing and admissions data in strategic planning
2.Meet census and revenue targets
3.Create revenue budget and quarterly forecasts in partnership with Executive Team, Program Management, and Business Development Liaisons.
4.Meet year-over-year revenue growth expectations
5.Implement pricing and rate strategy company-wide consistent with market standards
6.Ensure full implementation of an effective sales progress tracking platform (ex. Sales Force) & ensure continued leverage in the use of data and analysis in decision-making
7.Develop and implement social media and advertising strategy.
8.Oversee the development and production process for collateral materials used for external marketing.
9.Work with CCO to ensure overall payer/referral satisfaction
10.Oversee continued service line knowledge and training with sales team
Capacity Development and Growth:
1.Conduct market analysis for all new development projects
2.Develop Proforma/Business Case for all development projects in partnership with the Executive team and regional leadership.
3.In partnership with Executive team and regional leadership, determine go/no-go for all development projects
The Vice President (VP) of Business Development will be a member of the Senior Management Team.
1.Advanced degree in health care related field or equivalent experience in health care field.
2.Minimum of 5 years of experience managing a sales department
3.Excellent relationship building skills; develop and maintain a network of contacts within and outside the company
4.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
5.Knowledge of long-term and rehabilitation care systems.
6.Demonstrated effectiveness in revenue forecasting
7.Excellent supervision skills; proven ability to manage nationally-based sales team
8.Extensive travel required
9.Independent critical thinking and creative problem solving skills.
10.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to keep multiple projects and engagements active remotely.
11.Confident using data and technology as an integral part of the business process, with particular experience using Salesforce.
12.Preferred proven experience working with Workers Compensation payers and contracts
