Providence is calling a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) (Home Health, Day, On-Call) to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. In this position you will:
Attends and participates in discharge planningor care conferences as appropriate.
Assumes responsibility and accountability for speechpathology services, including guidance and appropriate utilization ofprofessional speech pathology students, techs, volunteers and support staff.
Communicates weekly schedule with department forcoordination of services.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Master's Degree in speech and language pathology. May accept individual in a clinical fellowship based upon interview and clinical experience as a student.
Licensed to practice as a speech and language pathologist in the state of Washington. Oregon licensure may be required in the service area.
Current BLS - Healthcare provider (must be AHA accredited).
ASHA certification of clinical competence (CCC). An ASHA clinical fellowship guideline applicable if individual is a clinical fellow.
Every two years, a background check and motor vehicle report will be completed, if applicable.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Prefer one year experience in a speech and language pathologist capacity in a hospital, acute unit in patient rehabilitation, skilled nursing facility or other related medical field.
